Hey party people!! So my 4th of July ended up being pretty standard, but fun….although I don’t think mine could even compare to some of your weekends; limo buses/irish men, birthday’s….plus much, much more i’m sure! Get posting people, I want re-caps!…I lived vicariously though ya all. Ok?!

My holiday was spent playing card games and “table-tennis” with friends. If you’ve ever played the game “a$$hole”, then you’d know that it takes extreme skill to be the “president” numerous times in a row. Bow to the queen president, as she is in your presence! Having the “president” title basically means you get to make whoever you want drink whenever you want. It’s glorious, and saved me from some of that nasty MAN brew. See girls, you learn something new on here everyday. 

Since i’m boring and never take pictures when I’m out anymore (what happened to me, I used to be THE girl who was always talking pictures, camera in hand 24/7 in high school…I promise this will change, i’ll get back to my old ways this year!), i’ll post the lovely FOOD that I did capture! As if you care anymore, right? You just want the good stuff. My apologies. 

4th of July LUNCH

 Throw some non-stick spray in your heated pan, toss in a wrap with 5-6 meatless meatballs, mash in some avocado and slice of cheese…..press, flip, press, smell……plate it next to some dips and enjoy! Thanks again ya genius. I love this meal!

I also laid out in the sun and cleaned my bathroom on the 4th. So productive! After the sun went down I threw on my new sandals, jeans, an american apparel top and met up with friends….the rest is history. 

Oh! And I also had this snack while getting ready for the night: 

GM + newman's pretzel sticks

In the Green Monster: frozen berries, spinach, almond milk,  1/2 a banana, tj’s blueberry ground flax, vanilla pp & ice.

Delish. 

Later on I had a veggie burger, bun, veggies, ketchup & mustard with a salad for dinner, plus a bumble bar (orig.) later on. Don’t worry, I kept it realllll. Us girls ate similar meals while the boys picked up mexican burritos.

Fast-forward to yesterday’s breakfast, which was….blueberry oats!

After breakfast I ran off to work, and after that I rushed home to eat this:

in the a-street (BUTT OF THE BREAD) sandwich: tofurkey, 3-layer hummus, laughing cow cheese wedge, cucumbers, spinach & dill

After lunch I had a nice walk on the beach with my pops, and went grocery shopping! He was just as into all the good foods as I was! I’ll have to shop with him more often. FYI…I’m gonna stop worrying about soy. If the product uses it in a non-gmo way, then i’m not stressin’. 

I ate a KIND bar while shopping it up, then came back to my mom’s with a nice amount of groceries.  

• Garden Herb Sunshine Burgers
• Organic Tofu
• Vegetarian refried black beans
• Annie’s honey mustard dressing
• Sprouted multi-grain alvarado st. bread (!!)
• smart dogs
• organic shredded monterey-jack cheese
• Amy’s medium salsa
• Red Hot Blue tortilla chips (my fave)

Produce:

cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, celery

And last night’s dinner was divineee. My mom and I made burritos! We threw refried beans, sauteed veggies and cheese into La Tortilla Factory wraps, then baked them in the oven at 350 for twenty mins. I also whipped up some guacamole and threw the burrito alongside Amy’s medium salsa. MMMMM, it was so crispy and delicious. Get ready for a photo shoot…..

For dessert, I had a classic summer-y treat; ice cream! Soy, that is.

Cottage cheese + tj’s blueberry ground flax + pb puffins + shredded spoonfuls + cinnamon puffins + frozen mixed berries + sunflower seed butter + cinnamon

Off to work then having a girls’ night with my mom; can’t wait for some good food and….the bachelorette. 

Q: For all your Bachelorette fans out there….which guy is gonna “fail” tonight, in the bedroom (out of Wes, Reid, Ed & Kipton) ?? I vote Reid! Poor guy…..
